Fall Prevention and Recovery
Falls prevention is a very important as a fall can seriously affect the health and quality of life of the person who has fallen.
People often suffer from broken bones in their hip and wrist, and lose a significant amount of confidence in getting out and about. We are skilled in teaching strengthening and balance exercises to poeple who have fallen or are at risk of falling.
Pain around in a limb is often associated with a loss of control that leads to a fall - this is certainly something that we can treat. When you have fallen and are bruised but not hospitalised we can be seen very quickly to help get you back on your feet and reduce the pain that you're in. If you have been hospitalised with fracture(s) we can support you after the NHS has discharged you in your own home if necessary to further improve your quality of life.
